Don't miss our sneak preview of one of the funniest Israeli films ever. In A Matter of Size, directed by Sharon Maymon and Erez Tadmor (co-director of our 2008 hit, Strangers), four overweight friends from the Israeli city of Ramle are fed up with dieting.

Israeli music artist Oren Lavie is Grammy nominee PDF Print E-mail

 

Israeli music artist Oren Lavie is nominated for a Grammy for his song "Her Morning Elegance," which has won praise worldwide.

 

The song's clip was directed by Lavie together with Yuval and Merav Natan. Eyal Landsman was responsible for filming. Lavie was nominated alongside front-liners such as Depeche Mode and Coldplay.

Cultural Affairs Department PDF Print E-mail

Introduction    

The Cultural Affairs Department presents Israeli culture to New England. We organize local performances of Israeli artists and present Israeli cultural programs. We have organized art exhibits, film screenings, concerts, and master classes by Israeli artists at New England’s finest cultural institutions and universities.

Musical Performances

Several outstanding Israeli musical groups are based in the New England region. Often they will be avaliable for private events, workshops, or performances. The Office of Cultural Affairs also frequently brings in various Israeli musicians and groups from Israel.

Israeli Films

We have a variety of feature films that available for groups and organizations to borrow for screenings in your community.  They are in Hebrew with English subtitles and excellent examples of Israeli cinema and culture. Some of the films we currently have are, Yossi and Jagger, Turn Left at the End of the World, Walk on Water, Ushpizin, and Yana's Friends.

(Note that most of these films do come with screening fees ranging from $50.00-$250.00)

Art Exhibits

The Consulate General of Israel to New England offers several exhibits on Israel that reflect a wide-range of subject matter and are available free of charge. Shipping and handling fees to the next display location are the responsibility of the host organization. All photographs can be easily displayed on easels or walls.
