WATEC Israel is Israel's prime event in the Water and Environment Technology field. The annual exhibition will be take place this year on November 17th - 19th, and is expected to bring together Israeli and international business executives, political decision makers and leading researchers to focus on the world's pressing water and ecological issues.

The 22ND RED SEA INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL attracts tens of thousands of jazz fans from across the world to the city of Eilat every year.

This year's Festival will be held from August 25th to the 28th, and will feature:

-14 international and 11 Israeli bands, including the Grammy Award-winning Oregon Quartet, Chicago-based vocalist Kurt Elling, and pianist Carla Bley and her Lost Chord Band

-The Festival's traditional late night jam sessions

-Six master classes with international guests as part of a week-long jazz workshop

-Young Israeli bands will perform every night in the public areas of the Festival complex as part of the celebration of Israel's 60th Anniversary

tribute concert for co-founder Danny Gottfried will conclude the Festival on the last night. In all, over 150 artists will perform in 40 shows in 4 days as part of this hugely popular and exciting celebration of music.

Speaking Requests

The Consulate is pleased to offer a selection of speakers for your organization or event. We cannot guarantee availability until final confirmation has been received.

How to Book a Speaker

 

1.  Choose your speaker or topic.  When requesting a speaker, you can either request a specific speaker from the Speakers Guide by name, or you can simply provide us with a general topic, and we will match your topic with one of our speakers.

 

2.  Submit your request.  To submit your request you will need to fill out a speakers request form. This form must be received in order for us to begin contacting potential speakers.  Please submit it at least four weeks in advance of your requested date.

 

When completing the form, please remember to . . .

o Complete all sections of the Speaker Request Form;

o Include as much information as possible in your request: about your organization, about the expected audience, your choice of topic and possible dates.  Feel free to attach additional pages to the form, if necessary;

o You may fax, mail or e-mail your request to:

3.  Finalize the event.  Once your request is filled, we will promptly send both you and the speaker a written and electronic confirmation.  At that point, you should call the speaker to discuss any details regarding the topic or the event and to make travel arrangements.




Internships

We are now accepting intern applications for Fall Semester, 2008.  Applications should be received by August 8th.
